2024 Annual Vision Theme

Stacks Image 17953

  • This theme reminds us that in all our battles, be they physical, mental, emotional or spiritual, we have an Advocate and Champion who owns that issue, and the universe in which it's found!
  • This theme encourages us to remember the innumerable examples in scripture of men and women of faith who relied on Divine Providence to carry them through needs, challenges and conflicts.
  • This theme, by its generality, asserts our conviction that all our battles, at all times and all places, are to be fought for, through, and ultimately by the Lord of all!
  • This theme impacts us with the truth that the greatest battle of our life occurs deep inside us, to determine who sits on the throne of our heart.
  • This theme exhorts us to face our spiritual battles, the most vital battles of life, with focus on the Word of the Lord, while yielding ourself to the Spirit of the Lord!
  • This theme reminds us that while we face battles throughout this life with sin-sick people in a sin-sick world, it is not against them we fight, but their father, and our Father will soon render final judgment upon him!
  • This theme urges us to remember that the manner in which we engage life's trials and struggles, especially our attitude, is our testimony; that we are to view these challenges as opportunities to glorify our God!
  • This theme commends us to recall that the consequences we experience from the battles of life vary based on whether we fought for self or the Lord!
  • This theme challenges us to meditate on the difficult to appreciate truth that our trials and tribulations are allowed by the Lord; and that if we allow, He will both direct their course and determine their outcome for our final good and His ultimate glory!
  • This theme should delight us with the assurance that the most important battle of all time was fought 2,000 years ago, and the praise and glory for our greatest victory belongs to the Lord!

2023 Annual Vision Theme

  • This theme builds upon our call to refocus and reminds us that its goal was to see us firmly established so we can answer the call of the King to arise and be doing!
  • This theme encourages us to wake up, get up, stand up and show up to the opportunities and challenges of our current cultural moment.
  • This theme convicts us to resist with all the power of God the tendency to be complacent and comfortable regarding the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
  • This theme highlights the dual nature of our Christian walk to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.
  • This theme alerts us that there are always opportunities available to the child of God to serve the risen Lord Jesus.
  • This theme makes it clear that our remaining time is short and it is high time to get busy about the King’s business.
  • This theme should remind us that while salvation is a free gift, our actions indicate whether it was truly received. If we do not serve the King, how are we His subjects?
  • This theme reminds us that our faith is to be lived with anticipation, as in the hymn, “Work for the night is coming, when man’s work is done; Work for the night is coming, when man works no more; work for the night is coming, when man’s work is o’er.”
  • This theme summarizes that great old hymn where we are encouraged to give our moments and our days, to present our hands and our feet for the service of the King, to exercise our voice and our lips for the glory of the Lord, to give our silver and our gold for the furtherance of the Gospel, to consecrate our will, our hearts and our lives as an offering of praise to God. In other words, arise and be doing!

  • This theme will remind us that our culture has politically, socially, intellectually and spiritually deceived, distracted, seduced and misled us from our primary objective.
  • This theme will enlighten us to the hypnotized status of the American Church during this pivotal, cultural moment.
  • This theme will convict us to awaken to God's "alarm clock" and reject the world's call to hit "snooze".

2021 Annual Vision Theme

  • This theme will motivate God’s people to be alert and always ready for His return — with the biblical assurance that this world is not their home and that the return of the Lord is guaranteed and imminent.
  • This theme will address perhaps the most covered and extensive area in all of Scripture: biblical prophecy — a foreordained timeline that God accurately predicted including the return of Israel to the land, the unification of the European nations, as well as all of the signs leading up to the Second Coming of Christ.
  • This theme will cause God’s people to realign their priorities on how they live in the end times and what to expect in the unfolding plan of God in the Word of God as the coming of the Lord draws closer
  • This theme will challenge God’s people to study the Word of God more diligently, to research more carefully and to rightly divide the Word of God in order to interpret the Scriptures regarding His Second Coming.
  • This theme will identify that God is dealing with the hearts of men that have yet to receive the Lord Jesus Christ in salvation by grace through faith.
  • This theme of the end times will prepare the Church to worship God more sincerely, to serve the Lord more faithfully, and to look forward to heaven more earnestly.
  • This theme will remind us all that ultimately God made the world — that God keeps the world — and that God will end the world.
  • This theme will warn us against the doctrine of false preachers and teachers who deny and reject the biblical doctrine of the physical return of Christ and the establishment of a physical Kingdom of Heaven.
  • This theme will reexamine the general spiritual condition of mankind where few people think that God is real and do not believe that God is sovereign and that everything is under His hand; that God is Judge and every person will ultimately face Him and will either pay for their own sins by eternal separated from Him — or benefit from the substitutionary payment of sin by Jesus Christ — the Son of God.
  • This theme will alert people that the biblical reason God has not brought judgment to bear is because He wants to give as many people as possible an opportunity to turn to the Lord for salvation — and that this is the gracious reason for the long delay.
  • This theme will reset our hearts and minds on the King because He is the first and the last — the beginning and the end; and because He has put eternity in our hearts nothing can satisfy us except the eternal things of God: His Word, His Spirit, and His love.

  • This theme prepares us for the spiritual treasures that await those that have given themselves over and surrendered to eternal truths.

2013 Annual Vision Theme

As we set a course for our church, I want to make this as clear and as understandable as I can.

  • This church theme is not meant to be an advertising campaign to sell clothes or to get people to eat at your franchise restaurant.
  • This church theme is not meant to be like a gimmick in order to sell new or used cars.
  • This church theme is not meant to be like a quarterly incentive to get the sales numbers up so that corporate office would be proud.
  • This church theme is not meant to be like a political rally to stir up people for a day or for a week.
  • This church theme is not meant to be like some spiritual merit badge that we will place on a ribbon that we wear around our neck at the next fellowship meeting.
  • This church theme is the REASON for the existence of the local church.
  • This church theme is the FOUNDATION for the entire mission of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • This church theme is the FUTURE of this church.
  • This church theme will cause us to reexamine all of our lives and every area of our lives.
